Ready for autumn yet? Nope, me neither…but this just might help you get in the mood.
OK, this is going to be a longer post than normal and I really struggled to know whether or not this was the place to write about this. But I’ve wanted to share a bit more of me and my personality on here, and the two-year anniversary seems like the perfect place to begin! So if you’re with me for this one, it’s been a big year for both myself and Shortrounds, so here goes nothing.
(If you decide not to listen to me ‘waffle on’ you can also skip to the end for the cheeky celebration offer on both of my baby blanket patterns – available for the weekend!)
I’m delighted to be bringing back my Q&A series with this amazing Indie knitting business. I don’t think you can even count in seconds how quickly I fell in love with Sonic Knits. A knitting subscription service, based in the UK, with beautiful hand picked, independent designers featured each month. Where do I sign up?!
From picking up the Milla Mia wool, casting on, knitting, finishing up and blocking this tidy little baby knit took me all of a week. Who doesn’t love a quick knit! I’ve since gifted this deep plum cardigan to my friend’s baby girl, who I’m assured looks jammin’ in it. And the process was so quick and easy, I’m tempted to make it in larger sizes!
This week’s a bit of an Instagram-heavy Knitwear faves, but that’s where I’ve been heading for me daily dose of knitspiration recently.
We all have those films we revisit again and again. Films we know all of the words to, ruin for new watchers with the immortal lines ‘this is a really good bit’… you know the ones.
Well, these happen to be perfect films to knit to, because we all know that once you get absorbed in a good knitting project, you lift your head up to the TV and half the film’s gone by. (Mr Shortrounds must get so fed up of me constantly asking him ‘what just happened?’)
So I wanted to share with you my list of ‘watch again and again’ films that I never get bored of and love to knit to!
