Hello, I’m Beth – happiest with yarn in hand and a new idea on the needles.
Growing up in a family of knitters and crafters, it felt inevitable that I’d find my way back to the craft. In 2011, inspired by online tutorials and a few too many tempting Pinterest boards, I rekindled my love for knitting. I guess you could say I was hooked!
After a few years of happy knitting, I found my interest wavering until I stumbled across knitting blogs and Ravelry. Whole communities full of inspiration! In August 2014, I decided to carve out my own little corner of the internet: Shortrounds. What started as a simple hobby blog soon grew into something more, as I found myself adapting patterns, going “off-pattern,” and eventually creating original designs that suited my needs (and hopefully yours, too).
For over a decade now, I’ve been designing patterns that are approachable, stylish, and reliable. Balancing modern touches with techniques knitters know and trust. Every pattern is written with care: clear stitch counts, helpful notes and layouts that are easy to follow.
When I’m not buried in swatches or chasing the perfect shade of greige, I’m cheering on knitters of every kind. Around here, we believe in crafting that’s welcoming, joyful and a little forgiving (because we’ve all played fast and loose with gauge now and then).
If you have a love for yarn, you’re in the right place.
My knitting patterns are available for sale on both Ravelry and Loveknitting.com, and there are a few free knitting patterns also available on my blog. Just look in the Shortrounds Patterns category in the sidebar.
As well as knitting pattern designs, I still love making handmade items for other people, which you can check out on Shortrounds Etsy Shop.
